This festival has been surviving to the time. When I came here back in 2001 this event used to give plenty of colour to the city, by the time much darker than today. This fest brings artists from all over the world and alongside the recently finished Be Festival is the most international event in this city.
This starting weekend has been just spectacular: This year, the weather is helping and so the bands. I don’t want to emphasise any band because the line-up has been so huge and amazing… Despite that I would love to name a classic and local, Steve Ajao, who played last Saturday an amazing concert: Steeped in blues and jazz all his life, this Birmingham guitarist is regarded by many as one of the hottest blues guitarists in the UK. Hear him perform as part of his powerhouse three-piece, Blues Giants, with Mike Hatton on guitar and Pete Hammond on drums. I hope every reader of this blog had the chance to see him.
